In planning economic times, our primary and high school have the similar character; but hi the condition of market economics, characteristic school has its age .To struggle against other schools, the school must be characteristic.It is form 1990's that our primary and high school begin on exploring. There are many schools that have its own character. But the number-rate is so low that we can ignore the facts if we compare schools that have its own character with all schools (our primary and high school in china). We would research that how to construct a characteristic school if our primary and high school were characteristic schools. The paper will do it.The thesis has six parts, including introduction and text. The introduction briefly shows that characteristic school is a common tendency of reform of market economics and is also a necessary choice of implementing quality education in our country. Part One in text clarifies the background of studying characteristic school and gives a longitudinal review, which pave the way for next research. Part two analyses the two important concepts and give a definition to characteristic school .we can conclude the connotation and relations between the two concepts. In this part the author also analyses the necessity and the possibility of constructing the characteristic school. Part three and Part four expounds basic element and mechanics of a characteristic school from Cross-sectional and longitudinal facts respectively. Part five that means strategy is based on these basic element and mechanics. The last part is my advice and the defects in my paper.
