After the standard meeting of national teacher-training education in 1980,the task was restored for the secondary normal school to foster the primary school teachers. In February of 1981, "Biology syllabus (trial draft)", "Physiology hygiene syllabus (trial draft)" and the teaching materials "Biology" and "Physiology hygiene" for the secondary normal school were published in succession, which simultaneously opened the new chapter of biology teaching in secondary normal school.Making a general survey of secondary normal school biology teaching over 20 years, the teaching concept method and content have been gradually transformed and innovated; the teaching equipment and measure have been progressively improved and developed. All these played an important role in fulfilling the objective to foster primary school teachers. However, with the development of society, the thorough study of education theory and the great breakthrough of biological science, especially with the overall unfolding of new curriculum reform of the elementary education and the adjusting of arrangement structure of the teacher-training education ( from the third scale to the second scale), the biology teaching in secondary normal school encounters numerous questions and puzzles. Consequently, as a biology teacher at the first line work of a school-teaching, in order to provide the reference for biology teaching in secondary normal school and further reference to foster sustainable developing talents who can adapt to the development of elementary education in our country, I should have the sense of responsibility and the sense of mission of being the master to make a serious summary of the previous successful experiences in biology teaching of secondary normal school, to provide and analyze the questions appearing in the biology teaching of secondary normal school, to put forward the countermeasures of deepening reform in biology teaching secondary normal school.Through the analysis of the biology syllabuses and teaching materials published by the Ministry of Education since 1980 and linking the interview with the learned teachers, this paper looks back briefly on more than 20 years' history of biology teaching in the secondary normal school, namely, the stage of exploring preliminary reform, the stage of strengthening and heightening, the stage of deepening reform and the stage of facingtransformation and analyzes simply the basic features of biology teaching at every stage. On the basis of reviewing the biology teaching over 20 years, regarding the modern education theory and the fundamental principle of new elementary education reform as the guidance, linking the rapid strides in biological science, through the deep interview with the teachers and the students, the questionnaire investigation and the author's records of teaching, pondering repeatedly the work, this paper analyzes in detail the questions in relation to the teaching aims, the teaching contents, teaching and educating concept, teaching methods and teaching evaluation which the secondary normal school biology teaching encounters at present, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions: to bring the guidance function of biology teaching on teaching activities into full play, to optimize the contents of biology curriculum, to promote the student's all-round and initiative development, to redistinct biology teaching patterns, to complete new system of biology teaching evaluation.This paper is divided into the following five parts: 1 , Putting forward the questions 2, Studying methods3 , Historical retrospection on biology teaching of the secondary normal school 4, Analyzing the questions that biology teaching of secondary normal school encounters 5, The corresponding countermeasures to deepen biology educational reform of secondary normal school.
