As a creative and practical teaching theory and strategical system, today cooperative learning is widely used in the primary and secondary schools in every developed country in the world. It also has made remarkable effect, especially in the following aspects: the reform of social psychological atmosphere in the class; the wide improvement of the students' marks; the promoting of the students' non-cognitive character; and the training of the students' cooperative consciousness ect. The new century calls for the reform of education, including the emerging pattern of the teaching material, the change of the teaching methods and learning methods. But due to the influence of exam-oriented education, at present in many senior high schools, phenomenon such as the backwardness of the teaching thought the outmoded teaching methods and the singleness of the exchanging way between the teachers and students are still existing. Pouring, duck-filling teacher-centred and book-centred methods still control the class. So the students' principal status is neglected and the development of the students' personality is killed. In order to make education serve the society in a better way, the teachers are required lo change the traditional teaching thoughts and the teaching pattern, re-orientate their rotes in teaching and reinforce the study on cooperative learning.The cooperative learning is an old teaching thought and practice, which differs from the traditional one essentially. Its basic thoughts are as follows: thetheory of mutual activity, theory of goal, theory of teach-student relationship, theory of form, theory of situation and theory of evaluation. It has three basic forms: teacher-teacher cooperation; teacher-student cooperation and student-student cooperation. By cooperation, the students can strengthen their understanding of knowledge; strengthen the feelings and communication between the students, between the teachers and also between the students and teachers, develop the students' good cooperative consciousness and self-study ability. In the end, the teaching aims that: "teaching and studying can help each other" and "the students and teachers can improve together" may certainly be achieved. We, therefore, bringing in all the study fruits about cooperative study as a guide, taking the specific situation of our school into consideration, pre-guided by the teacher-teacher cooperation, taking the developing of students' cooperative studying consciousness into consideration, develop the research on the cooperative learning of chemistry in senior high school, which has the main form of the students' group-study and at the same time unites teaching and group-study together. We divide this experimental research into three steps, they are: cultivating practicing and implementing. We have made careful research on the conditions in implanting cooperative learning of chemistry teaching in senior high school. We point out that converting the students' learning method and training their cooperative learning in senior high school chemistry teaching. We also emphasize the role-charge of teachers and the method-change of students in cooperative learning, and stress the importance of building equal, democratic and harmony teacher-student relationship in cooperative learning. According tothe chemistry marks of the mid-term examination, we divide the 50 students in the experimental class into 10 groups. Of course, we have referred to their sexual percentage, interest orientation, and associative skills. Adopting the research method of equal-size-group, we develop the experimental research which is mainly depending on the group-study of students' learning, and also combining class-teaching and group-studying together.According to the results of practice, we can see that carrying out this new teaching pattern can both motivate the students' to work actively and initiatively and train their consciousness of participation and cooperation.
