A Study On How To Bring Up Students' Humanistic Character During Mathematics Teaching In High School

As the society is developing and the times is advancing, the humanistic value of mathematics plays a mor e and more important role in human society, The meaning of the humanistic value of mathematics is quite broad. This thesis explains the humanistic value of mathematics from the effect of mathematics on a person' s world view, taste and the formation of character, and penetrate the influence on high school mathematics teaching.The time in high school is a very important period in a student's growing. Mathematics curriculum is a required course that every student must try to learn well in high school. The teaching of mathematics can bring up the students' mathematics ability and at the same time it can promote the students' humanistic character. It is decided by the character of mathematics Itself and is also proved by history and many facts. But in some high schools in our country, the fine humanistic value is ignored in teaching practice. On the basis of searching seven high schools, the writer points out that "the examination cultrue" and the problem of teachers' ability are the main factors of blocking the formation of students' mathematics ability during mathematics teaching.In the fifth section the writer gives some adcice to high school teachers, teaching material composers and teaching evaluators to deepen Mathematics teachers and educational administrators' understanding of mathematics humanistic value, change some outdate teaching concepts. The writer believes it is valuable on carrying out new high school mathematics curriculum reform.The writer uses scientific ways such as the laws of materials, investigating, cases analyzing and so on, attains rich scientific arguments and therefore the argument point is firmly supported.
