Mathematics Competition And The Development Of Mathematics Thinking

Mathematics competition is a important part of mathematics education, and has good effect in improving students' mathematics thinking.Firstly, the dissertation outlines the history of mathematics competition and the status quo of the study of mathematics thinking. Then the traits of the contents, the proposition and the training of mathematics competition are introduced in thesecond part.The third part of the dissertation is the crucial pat of the dissertation. Mathematics thinking is mainly exhibited through solving problems. Four kinds of mathematics thinking, including generalization thinking, equivalent transformation thinking, mathematics model thinking, and reversal thinking, are discussed, and some examples are given to help explaining these thinking forms.Fourthly, the training of students' mathematics thinking through mathematics competition must take those into account, such as the developmental period of students' mentalities and thinking. At last, the analysis of mathematics competition is made from the relation of mathematics competition and the reform of mathematics education.The aim of the dissertation is to analyses the mathematics thinking shown in mathematics competition, and effect for students' thinking.
