The evaluation on the New Art Curriculum is the center of the Art Curriculum. It is also an important means to keep the New Art Curriculum developing in a correct way. Since the evaluation carries the following functions: feedback, encouragement, in- trospection,recording the growth,and possitively guiding etc. therefore, in a sense, we may say, whether each practicer on the New Art Curriculum can establish a set of evaluation method which can cope with the development of Quality Education and the idea of the New Art Curriculum is one of the key factors which leads the reformation of the New Curriculum to success under the guide of "the standard of Art Curriculum".The developmental student evaluation is the essential pursuit of Art Curriculum. The New Art Curriculum not only advocates the idea and method of evaluation on student's development but also evaluates student's development on the knowledge and skill, process and method, emotion and attitude, and the outlook of value etc. What is more, the evaluation on student, in a great sense, decides how to evaluate a teacher and his teaching. Therefore, the developmental evaluation on student is the center of the evaluation on an Art Curriculum.The thesis presents in the following two aspects. One is to present the idea of the evaluation, its characteristics, its process and method; the other is to probe into the two new ways of the New Art Curriculum's Developmental Student Evaluation: show evaluation and file evaluation. The structure of the paper consists of the following parts of "asking questions", "basic concept", "tactics probe", "case analysis" and "probe introspection". The paper lays stress on the combination of practice and theory. It is a good probe on the New Art Curriculum evaluation by absorbing the experience and creation from the teachers in the experimental areas and by using typical, original cases.The developmental student evaluation in the New Art Curriculum is a part of a complete curriculum. It is an important process of teaching. As a practicer of the New Art Curriculum, we should know the evaluation of teaching is a technology as well as a sense of idea; we should also know that "improvement" and "promotion" is the evaluation on the art teaching. In the evaluation, "there is no best but better",therefore,when we use an evaluation technology, we should first of all take the foundation of idea into consideration and consider the fit between educational aim and value.
