Present Situation Investigation And Thinking Into The Senior Students' Ability Of Oral Communication In County Town

The ability of oral communication is one important part of students' Chinese ability , teaching oral communication is one of the tasks of teaching Chinese. At present, teaching oral communication is still not put emphasis on. Students' ability of oral communication is low, especially in senior grades in county town, the majority of students come from rural areas, their ability is worse, which is an important factor for preventing students' all-round development in this areas. By testing, questioning, observing and talking and so on, after doing researches on the senior students in Longxi county ,Gansu province,I investigated the students' ability of oral communication, analysed related reasons and put forwards some measures.The investigation shows the senior students' ability of oral communication is low, especially they are shy to open their mouths, poor pronunciation, lack of clear presentation, full of dialects, wrong expressions, overcautious with their language and gestures, lack of manners, not quick enough in thought and lack of creativity.The research shows that there are four main factors in their low ability of oral communication.Factor in teaching. The ability of oral communication is greatly neglected in traditional teaching models and curriculum ;the ability of oral communication is not tested; it is misunderstood by teachers; principles and methods of training the ability of oral communication is not realized by teachers, the teaching goal of the ability of oral communication is not clear ;the classes are looked down upon by the students; resources of teaching are short etc.Factor in intelligence. There are individual differences among their mind, observation, memory, association and imagination.Factor in non-intelligence They are extremely shy, have big obstacal; they have no good habit of oral communication; they don't put emphasis on oral communication , have no interest and so on.Factor in conditions families, schools and society don't offer good chance and atmosphere to speak.According to present situation above, the writer puts forwords some measures in training the ability of oral communication of senior students in county towns. Changing ideas getting rid of obstacal Stimulating intention training interest Listening first teaching by demonstration Consolidating greatly improving steadily. Giving the rein to the students training their thinking. Beautifying ways grasping skills. Creating conditions attaching importance to practice. Infiltrating in all sides developing out of class.Finally, several further questions in teaching oral communication in county towns.
