As a powerful method which improves class-teaching effect, the students' evaluation of the class-teaching effect has become more and more important in recent years in universities of China. It plays an important role in improving instruction, teachers' job evaluation, promoting rewards and punishments. However because of the congenital deficiency of the students' evaluation of the class-teaching effect, it restricts seriously the exertion of the function in diagnosing and stimulating. There are some discontented phenomena in universities, such as some universities have to stop the practice on account of all aspects pressure which can't endure, some universities limit the practice to form while the evaluation's result is laid aside, some universities only reward little efficacy.There are many factors which effect the exertion of the function of the students' evaluation of the class-teaching effect. Considering the subject and the object of evaluation, it involves the cognitive aspect of teachers and students, the mental adjustment and so on. Considering the process of evaluation, it involves publicity of the purpose and significance, the design of the index system, the establishment and implementation of evaluation scheme, the data's disposal and implication. This article emphasizes on discussing all kinds of subjective and objective factors and doing the embedded research about designing the indexes system of the students' evaluation of the class-teaching effect. The article is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter, it contents the background of the research, the general situation of inside and outside research, theoretical basis, contents, methods of the research.In the second chapter, it describes the general actuality of the students' evaluation of the class-teaching effect in China. It gives a full-side, systemic summary from the purpose, the function, the modes, and the design of the indexes system, implementation, faced predicament as well as prominent questions.In the third chapter, it describes the conclusion of outside about the influencing factor and attaches importance to analyzing the effecting, which come from teachers, students, and curriculum factors by demonstration.In four chapters describes three aspects. They are the change of evaluation instructional ideology, the renovation of evaluation modes and the rebuilding of evaluation index system. By reflecting the current evaluation index system, It puts forward designing instructional ideology based on the theoretical foundation which the research harvest of constructivism theories, developmental evaluation theories, effective teaching theories andthe realistic foundation which the essential requests of the quality education and the effect on instruction come from modern information technique. It goes further to sum up peculiarities of the new-style evaluation indexes system are expansibility, dynamic, humanism and cooperation.The five chapters put forward how to improve the efficiency of the students' evaluation of the class-teaching effect. They are boosting the strength of mobilization, farther enhancing cognition, establishing and perfecting evaluation system, exploiting evaluation channel, developing practice and research of meta-evaluation.
