Brief Research On Social Support Of The Students In Primary School And Middle School

In order to well understand the change of social support of the students in primary school and middle school in different grades in China, we arranged a questionnaire survey among 256 students in primary school, middle school and senior middle school, which is measured on the social support assessment scale. The result indicates that: 1. In different period, the social support to students reflects different character. 2. In a whole, the level of social support to schoolboy is lower than that of to schoolgirl, and there exist obvious differences among subject support, availability of social support and total support marks. 3. For schoolboys, there is obvious difference among various factors of social support level in different period, and there are two peak periods. 4. For schoolgirls, with the existence of difference between object support and total support marks, there is one peak period. 5. From the point of view of total situation of social support, the object support, subject support and total support marks in primary school phase are lower than middle school and senior middle school phases, and the differences in object support and total support marks are extremely obvious, the availability of social support is the highest in primary school, where exists obvious differences. 6. Parents and friends are the most important and relatively steady source of support for students.
