The system of class teaching is the principal teaching form usually adopted in the Middle School in China. It can help improve the teaching efficiency and accelerate the popularity of education. What's more, it can also help the teachers exert their leading function and strengthen the teaching management so as to carry out the teaching program in order. However, the system of class teaching has been criticized and censured since it came into being. During all the time, many people in educational world call the system of class teaching as "teachers talking all the time without the differences of the students". No matter in Western countries, in former Soviet Union or in China, it is realized that this kind of teaching form must be reconstructed with brand-new thought even if this teaching form has some restriction yet it can't be totally denied. Therefore, it has become a well-concerned matter in Middle School education to know how to efficiently get over the limitation while keeping superiority of the system, how to perform the teaching reform and solve some problems in class according to the need which should accommodate the new modality.Competition and cooperation are the common phenomena and fundamental forms in the human society. For the action of international education reform, more and more attention is paid to the cultivation of cooperative spirit and ability. Cooperative learning is also an important mode proposed for the curriculum reform in China. Cooperative learning emphasizes that class teaching should be connected with group teaching. Its advantage is that it doesn't deny the system of class teaching simply but skillfully combines all kinds of teaching forms such as in all the class, for groups and individuals so as to reach the best teaching effect.
