Research On The Management Of Juvenile Sports Club

Since the practice of "Implementing National Fitness Program", national fitness activities have been healthily developing in a good order. One of the important supporting fields of national fitness is juvenile sports. In 1999, juvenile sports club was set up by the National Sports Bureau under the sponsoring of sports lottery public accumulated fund. Juvenile sports club is a new and non-profit socialist public sports organization, which aims to fully cultivate and utilize sports resources from all works of life and to widely carry out juvenile sports activities.As juvenile sports club is neonatal, whether it will develop toward a correct orientation will not only influence the vitality of juvenile sports club directly, but also the overall process of the country's public sports indirectly. Research shows that, there are some common problems in the newly-built juvenile sports clubs in our country. For example, the contradiction between the commonality and productiveness of the club cannot be solved appropriately; the club lacks perfect evaluation systems and supervising guidance; the club lacks volunteers and volunteer spirit; the quantity of social sports tutors is not sufficient and the quality of them is not high etc. From a theoretical angle, there are obvious defects in the present research: One is that there has been very little research on juvenile sports club and documents and materials are quite few; moreover the present research has been restricted in part of the clubs of two or three provinces, which is very hard to conclude the overall situation of juvenile sports club in the country. Second, the research has been confined to sports field and the analysis is not based on the perspectives of sociology and public administration by taking it as a social organization. Third, research of the character, service object and service domain of juvenile sports club is not sufficient. The imperfectness of juvenile sports club theory will definitely result in the inappropriate solution of practical problems. Thus it is ofgreat theoretical and practical significance to further research on juvenile sports club.At the starting period of juvenile sports club, research on it should be qualitative and emphasis should be laid on the concept, character, service object and domain, which means to start research by asking whats. The thesis analyzes the fundamental characters of juvenile sports club such as organization type, service object and domain under the background of social transition by combining non-profit organization theory, community theory, social work theory and community sports theory. It also assimilates experiences of countries which have perfect community sports management mechanisms such as Japan, the U.S. and other European countries and points out management modes of juvenile sports club under the inspiration of precedent examples in which non-profit organization promotes community construction.The main viewpoints are: first, based on non-profit organization theory, juvenile sports club is a non-profit organization and the construction and development of juvenile sports club should take non-profitness and social commonality as tenets. Second, after analyzing the meaning of juvenile from multi angles, it can be shown that juvenile sports club can contribute actively to juvenile's comprehensive development. Third, community sports concludes juvenile sports club if divided in detail according to age, thus as a new organization form, juvenile sports club is more advantageous in solving the problems existed in community sports. Fourth, the management of juvenile sports club should take the management mode of non-profit organization as model, and should distinguish from profit earning sports club in strategy planning, business running and financial management.
