The Normal School students, who must be educated within five years , will be the primary school teachers in their future profession . The comprehensive quality of the primary teachers will affect the quality of elementary education. In the process of the normal school students, the study method deeply influences the efficiency of getting knowledge and their capacity, especially their own ability to make a thorough inquiry will seriously influence their learning and quality. It will also influence the development of the basiceducation curriculum reform.Investigating most parts of Luliang Normal School students, it is found that : first, the students have got to a certain level about the their study strategy, but generally speaking, they cannot use more and better study method, and in some fields, there is obvious weakness, such as skimming the contest, sorting out the date, reviewing process, discussing among the students, and writing the notes,...etc. Second, there are some shortages in their own self-supervision and self-management, which means they can improve it if they change it. Third, the students have formed the ability to manage their time in study. While they haven't enough consciousness about this, which says that if they are given more chance to study by themselves, most of them cannot cherish it to order their study activity. Forth, there are some defects in the classroom teaching process, such as gauging the classroom, the teachers and textbooks with the teaching center and ignoring to keep the education the initiative in the own hands to learn and to educate their creative spirits and practicing ability. Fifth, although the teachers give the students some guidance on their initiative inquire study. It is not enough . Sixth, students' inquire ability is not strong .In this paper, it analyzes the reasons of forming it and concludes that the factors of school, students itself, teachers and the society ...etc , cause the students to change their study method , especially to their initiative inquire method . So it needs the school, teachers, students and others to work together to solve these problems. If it is done well, which can promote the normal school students' study method, especially which is needed to promote their initiative inquiry study method. At last it can improve students' comprehensive quality.
