Along with the much deeply influence of IT to education day by day, new media hasplayed a more and more important role in promoting the Teachers' Professional Development.With a lot of data investigations and studies, this dissertation tries to analyze the Teachers'Professional Development systematically, in which also discusses the relationship betweenTeachers' Professional Development and modernized education technology under informationage. We point out that the Web-log (BLOG) is a new manifestation of Internet to promote theTeachers' Professional Development as a tool.In the process of the teachers' BLOG study, we analyze its function stressing on thetheory and practice, and present the communication model and the model about how topromote the Teachers' Development with the aid of BLOG. The dissertation analyses theBLOG practice and holds on tightly to discuss the teachers' BLOG requirement and thecharacters of web-log communication, which mainly focuses on several aspects as following:the development of cognitive structure for teacher to use the BLOG, the teachers' BLOGinteraction and the study community formation, teachers' BLOG as a knowledge managementtool and an instructional tool.Based on systemic analyses on the function of teacher's BLOG, we take on case study to"XingYun geography BLOG room" which is rather a successful BLOG group in China. Itproposes some suggestions on BLOG development both objectively and subjectively, whichmainly includes: the orientation of BLOG platform, the construction of assistant system, theliteracy requests on the people of teacher's BLOG, the content construction and thepropagandas and demonstrations, and so on. Finally, the dissertation analyses the BLOG withrationality and points out that the teachers' BLOG should cooperate with other tools for betterteachers' profession development promotion.
