Nowadays, the secondary vocational education lays particular stress on knowledge and skill, but ignores to mold the students' perfect personalities. Being aimed at this situation, this paper starts from the angle of the human-based education, it tries to expound how Chinese teaching in secondary vocational education develops its advantageous educational function in personality education and constructs the ways of Chinese personality education which accords with the physical and mental development feature of the secondary vocational students and the demands of time development. Chinese in secondary vocational education should take on its historical mission and provide theory basis and practical guidance for promoting the health development of secondary vocational students, finding back the lost national spirits and training the highly qualified labors. The structure of the whole thesis is as follows:I. Expounding the connotation and feature of personality, personality education and Chinese personality education.II. The investigation for the personality status quo of the secondary vocational students. After investigating the personality status quo of the secondary vocational students and analysing the psychological feature of their personality, the author reaches the conclusion that it is necessary to carry out the Chinese personality education among the secondary vocational students.III. The necessity and probability of Chinese personality education. This paper states the necessity from the needs of Chinese quality education, the healthy development of secondary vocational students and the self-development of Chinese education in the secondary vocationalschools;it illustrates and proves the possibility from the advantage of personality education in Chinese teaching and its function of molding personality.IV. The strategy of Chinese personality education. In this part, the paper list the ways on how to explore Chinese personality education in practice:improving the teachers' own personality cultivation, tapping the function of educational personality implied in the texts, Setting up the teaching mode of Chinese personality, making use of Chinese activity lesson, reading resources and composition teaching.
