The nature of specialization becomes rather tangible in the teaching at secondary vocational schools, while the personality of students learning their major courses is strikingly apparent. However, when studying Chinese as a basic course, students still follow the pattern of their previous habits, merely focusing on basic knowledge. Teachers also follow suit when giving Chinese lessons. This results in students' attaching no importance on Chinese, and therefore, teachers find it difficult to continue their study further. As a result, involvement of personality teaching of Chinese in secondary vocational schools is of vital importance in an effort to spur students' personality. The article tries to discuss the speciality of Chinese teaching in secondary vocational schools, telling the difference between the teaching of secondary vocational schools and that of ordinary senior schools with regard to the goal of cultivation, the source of students and their occupations after graduation. The comparison is to display the practical applicability, humanistic and creative value in the teaching of Chinese at secondary vocational schools. Teachers, comprehending "personality teaching", thus carries out personality teaching of Chinese, combining the actual situations of the students. The details are specified as follows:Chapter One the speciality of Chinese teaching at secondary vocational schools: the great differences between secondary vocational schools and ordinary senior schools reflectthe fact that the teaching of Chinese at secondary schools has its uniuqe practical applicability and speciality in relation to the goal and requirement of teaching, the formation of courses, the source of students, the quality of students as well as different ways of teaching of Chinese.Chapter Two the connotation of personality teaching: 1. "Personality Teaching" comprises the following: teaching activities target at a teaching aim, that is, teaching lies in the full development of students' personality and individuality. Students are capable of giving full play to their own ways of study, interest, willingness and need. Under the circumstances of consistent goal of cultivation, teaching styles and ways can be flexible. 2. Personality teaching of Chinese: personality teaching is based on school curriculums as a medium, a mutual activity of teaching and learning with personality characteristics. In detail, personality teaching fully promotes the students' quality of Chinese with school curriculums as a medium, focusing on students' study themselves and implementing the basic teaching strategy of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. The unification of personality teaching of teachers and that of students becomes the major teaching activity. The personality teaching of Chinese is to cultivate students' independent and healthy character as its basic goal, fully respecting the students' individual differences and accelerating their capabilities of language learning.Chapter Three the display of value in the implementation of personality teaching of Chinese at secondary vocational schools: Chinese education at secondary vocational schools in the new era should build up a new education teaching system adapting to the requirements for the 21" century.The system should target at students' quality education and all-round development. Chinese education shound "set up a platform" for the all-round development of students, so that students are able to develop their personality harmoniously and promote their potential. This fully displays the practical applicability, humanistic and creative value of Chinese teaching at secondary vocational schools.Chapter Four implementing personality teaching strategy of Chinese at secondary vocational school: Chinese teachers of secondary vocational schools should have their own teaching personality, that is, forming a teaching style of their own. When carrying out personality teaching, teachers should teach in accordance with students' aptitude and tap students' existing potential. The teaching should combine with students' major to form "Great Chinese" with well-organized teaching and comprehensive evel1uation. Meanwhile, more importance should be attached on students' personality learning and therefore students are able to read and write independently. Teachers should also cultivate students' personalized language capabilities and independent learning.With the research on personality teaching of Chinese, the article fully displays the necessities of personality teaching to students in secondary vocational school. Secondary vocational education not only emphasizes Chinese as a tool and cultural cultivation, but "a comprehensive professional capability, creative capability and continuing capability of study and development as well. Therefore, personality teaching of Chinese in secondary vocational schools not only provides knowledge for students, but also gives them a capability of study, appreciation and creation, laying a solid foundation of Chinese culture for students' future career.
