Personalized teaching has been a hot topic among education in China which gainedwide popularity and effective practicablity. The traditional teaching based on classroom canno longer satisfy the needs from either schools or students themselves. It is right the time forus educators to carry out new methods and strategies to explore the potentials of our studentsand do everything we can to make the best out of them.When we look back what we have been through, it's clear that the outcome ofnon-personalized teaching was nothing but monotonous and to some extent, dreary dollswho are short of their own ideas, lacking in imagination and creativity and used to followothers. This kind of future-masters of our society are definitely not what is needed for ourcountry. Under such circumstances, this thesis was illustrated in the following six parts:To begin with, I talked about the misunderstandings occurred in the process ofPersonalized teaching and learning. Such as the lacking of the awareness of personalizedteaching and large amounts of students in classes. And then in the second part, I mainlyfocused the general concepts of personalized teaching, including the definition of"personality" and its characteristics. While in Part 3, something about the functions ofpersonalized teaching, full improvement for students and better effects ofclassroom-teaching contained was further explained.In Part 4, the theoretical bases of personalized teaching and in Part 5, the principles in practiceof personalized teaching, including principle of adaptablity, individuality, self-motivated andspeciality. And finally I closed this thesis with a teaching design on English of Senior MiddleSchool, Book One, based which the strategies of carrying on personalized teaching were wellillustrated and hopefully the whole result of this essay can be considered as a reference for thefuture work of teachers.
