School-based curriculum development is a focus of the educational basic curriculum reform in China. The pattern of state-based curriculum development have been brought into effect for a long time, teachers are always passively implementing it. But during the course, teachers have become the principal part. At the same time, the transferred parts that teachers play in the school-based curriculum are being paid more attention to. Researches on how to exert teachers' parts in school-based curriculum are of great significance to both the development of teachers themselves and the development of teaching or education itself both in theory and in practice.Based on the idea that teachers are the principal part in building school-based curriculum development, the paper discusses it as the following four parts.In part one, the background and development of school-based curriculum in our country are introduced and the meaning from different sides and perspectives is also analyzed.In part two, the new location of teacher's role is decided renewedly. Teachers' position in school-based curriculum development is mainly analyzed, and the key point is that teachers are the principal part of the school-based curriculum, which is also the focus of this paper. The embodiment of teachers' parts is also talked about based on teachers' parts in the curriculum in some? foreign countries.In part three ,the main content is about how to realize teachers' new roles. The emphasis is put on this part, which analyzes the qualities that teachers should have in school-based curriculum development. From the perspective of teachers' development of specialization, the paper makes discussions about the definition of specialization, the embodiment of specialization in the school-based development, and how to realize the specialization of teachers, and also how to exert teachers' principal parts by it.In part four. The existing problems of the conversion of teachers' role are explored and several countermeasures of education reform for teachers in our country are put forward.
