With the arrival of knowledge economy, knowledge has become the key factor ofproduction and occupies the leading position among all the factors in an organization.KM has huge influence on organization management. It is applied in modernenterprise popularly and improves management effectively. Because production,diffusion, innovation and application of knowledge are main functions for University,so enhancing KM is the important task for University management in knowledgeeconomy times. This paper studies KM of Tianjin University from the followingaspects:First of all, this thesis researches on the background of KM's generation, thenmakes a detailed analysis of the definition, classification, the specialty of knowledgeand definition of KM.Second, it gives an insight into the necessary and the significance of KM inTianjin University. Moreover, it discusses the key problems and the facing problemsfor implementing KM in the University.Third, the thesis presents a project to adjust the organization structure based onKM and strategies for human resources management after a series of analyses.Fourth, it puts forward two sides to reform the organization culture for KM inTianjin University. They are achieving knowledge sharing and establishing learningorganization.Finally, the author builds a technical model of KM system and puts forward thesteps of implementation of KM system after producing KM techniques, definition,functions and characteristics of KM system.
