In recent years, the size of university undergraduates is becoming bigger and bigger, and the number of the graduate students is getting larger and larger. At the same time, the development of market economy makes the labor market become the basic mechanism of the human resource allocation. Because of the lack of the human resource's valid need, the imperfection of the labor market development, the incompletion of the household register system reform, the unbalance of the human resource supply-demand structure, the backward of the quality and the model of university personnel cultivation, the misunderstanding of university graduate's employment view etc, the employment situation of university graduates is increasingly rigorous, which urgently requests us to value and strengthen university undergraduate's career planning work.This work, however, starts late in Chinese universities and colleges, and can't meet the request of the situation development. Therefore, the author does special research on Chinese university undergraduate's career planning in order to promote its theoretical development and the practical instruction work.At first, the author defines the concept of career planning and distinguishes it from the related ambiguous conceptions, introduces representative theories of career planning in foreign countries and regards them as the theoretical foundation of this thesis, and analyzes the concept, features, elements and functions of university undergraduate's career planning;Then, the author summarizes 6 problems in present university undergraduate 's career planning, including the weak consciousness of career planning, the vague job target, the deficient ego cognition, the inadequate job preparation, the deviate values and the lacking ability of practice, and thoroughly analyzes the causes from four aspects of traditional system, social idea, university's instruction and undergraduates themselves;Finally, based on the national conditions and higher education realities in China, the author puts forward nine concrete improving measures from two sides, one side includes the society, the universities and colleges, and the other includes university undergraduates themselves, hoping to have certain reference to present university undergraduate's career planning in China.
