With the increasing the number of the students in the universities and senior high schools, the traditional vocational education of our country goes down dramatically, that results in a large number of students with low math learning ability enter into vocational schools. As teachers in these kinds of school, how to face them? What is the reason? How to improve them? All these are the realistic mission for teachers. we should change our teaching concept, acquire new talent outlook and quality outlook so that we can foster students into useful persons to the society.The main methods that this passage adopts in the research process are: the cultural heritage data, investigation which includes the questionnaire, inquisition the interviewers, case study and teaching experiment etc. by investigating 358 students with poor ability in math, I have studied the existing present state of such students with pertinent theories and teaching experience. From that, I have found out the main reasons of how such students coming into being. They lie in two aspects of students′learning process: the cognition obstacle and emotion obstacle, the cognition obstacle includes intelligence, knowledge and learning methods. The emotion obstacle includes non-intelligence.Investigating the causes of the students with poor ability in math learning, base on"the three—level theory"by Japanese educationist北尾伦彦and"the concentric circle theory"by Russian educationist巴班斯基.According to the causation of the students with low math learning ability, combining the relevant theories, they are divided into two sorts: some students with cognition obstacle and others with emotion obstacle.
