| Gymnasium is a required course for college P. E. majors. Fear is one of themajor causes that affect the gymnastic teaching. In the course of gymnasticteaching, every student will experience the feeling the fear. In that case, itis very important to make a systematic analysis and research into the phenomenonof fear and then establish some ways of solution. That way, the students canbenefit a lot from it, and meanwhile, the quality of the gymnastic teaching willbe greatly improved.Based on the theories of cognitive psychology, kinematics as well as somerelative theories of modern teaching, this thesis makes a systematic study ofthe fear that occurs to the P.E. students during their trainings, and then putforth five ways of solutions. The main methods this thesis adopts are included:studying relative literature;designing questionnaires;interviewing experts;using statistics and making experiments. The conclusions that are drawn from thisstudy are as follows:Firstly, researches indicate that in the course of the gymnastic teaching, the students will experience the feeling of fear to various degrees. Take thehorse vaulting (female) for example;at the beginning of the teaching, thepercentage of the students having the feeling of fear makes up 80%. Fear is afeeling that will play a negative influence on the teaching. That way, in orderto make the teaching more efficient, we must try to avoid or alleviate thestudents' feeling of fear.Secondly, the factors that will cause fear are scene, and cognition. The sceneincludes appliance, field, substandard comportment, as well as the negativefeelings among the students. Physiology means the students' physical conditionor mechanics are not standard. Cognition means during the course of training, failure might act as a stimulus that would intensify the feeling of fear.Thirdly, in the course of gymnastic teaching, the regulating of the feelingof fear can be divided into cause regulation and response regulation. The causeregulation includes the establishment of teaching scene, the shift of attention, and the adjustment of cognition. The response regulation is mainly aboutregulation of physiological reaction, subjective experience and the expression.Fourthly, according to the theories mentioned above, and at the same time, taking the teaching practice into consideration, we can draw the following methodsto regulate the feeling of fear:i. the regulation of the group psychologyii. the regulation of presentational drillingiii. the regulation of halt of thinkingiv. the regulation of spatio-temporal time shiftv. the regulation of the systematic avoidances of sensitivenessFifthly, when putting the above-mentioned five methods into the experimentof horse vaulting, we find that the feeling of fear is much alleviated. Meanwhile, the mastery of the comportment is improved and the teaching is more efficient. |
