The crux of evolution reform lies is elementary curriculum reform,which is related withwhether to advance in orders and make essential effect or not. While, the student evaluation isthe core of school teaching quality assessment. Attempts at curriculum reform are likely to befutile unless accompanied by matching assessment reform. To establish an assessment systemthat helps student develop in all-round way is one of the bases of assessment reform.Based on the multiple intelligence theory, the constructivism learning theory and thepost-modernism theory, integrating the present situation of the research of the students'assessment, the thesis firstly primarily discusses the meanings, characteristics and functionsand the present situation and the theoretical support of the developmental student assessmentin physics education.(DSAPE)Secondly, based on the researching results of the students' assessment at home andabroad, combining the factual situation of the physics teaching in middle school, this thesisputs forward a method that is to adopt the students' developmental assessment in physicsteaching in middle school---"the Overall Development Recording Method". This thesis alsoprimarily study the definition, theoretical support, flow of assessment and other elementsinvolved, and come up with an effective theme of carrying out the students' developmentalassessment.Finally, this thesis will carry out the scheme of the students' developmental assessment---"the Overall Development Recording Method" in physics teaching, analyze the results ofthe experiment and summarize the experience and lessons in order to accelerate the furthercontinue of the developing report of students' evaluation.The developing reports of students' evaluation will feed back the achievement, potentialand deficiency in physics learning. Furthermore, I will make the correction clear, helpstudents make up their plans and make them step forward. It has been proved practically thatthe developing report of students' evaluation in physics teaching in the middle school is aneffective way to push the curriculum reform and stimulate students' overall development.Conclusion: By constructing a series of highly operational student evaluation methods,this paper endeavors to apply the developmental assessment theory into physics educationwith an attempt to reform original assessment methods and therefore to help students developall-roundly. Evidence shows that to implement developmental assessment in physicseducation is an effective way to move the curriculum reform. This paper is expected to shedlight on the new curriculum reform pursued by those who are working on the frontier of thereform.
