Scientific exploration is the studying aim of the students as well as an important teaching method of the teachers. In the course of the exploration, the students acquire physical knowledge and skills, gain the interest of scientific exploration and grasp the thought and spirit of science through the similar scientific research process of scientists. Cooperative study method has a prominent actual effect on improving teaching the quality; promoting the students to form a better non-cognitive quality and so on by means of creating a better social psychological atmosphere in classroom. Cooperative spirit running through scientific exploration can accelerate the mutual aid and cooperation among students so as to mobilize all the studying factors of students and broaden the approach of acquiring information as well as turning them into efficient cooperators.A theoretical and practical research about scientific exploration and cooperative study method has been done in the senior physical teaching in this thesis.In practical research, apply the constructed studying model to physical classroom and experiment teaching of middle school, design the exploring steps and teaching cases as well as constructing a cooperative studying team. We compare the different results of scientific exploration and traditional teaching method by a comparative research method; analyze the influence of scientific exploration and cooperative study method on the cooperative consciousness, studying interest and interpersonal relationship of students. The comparative results and investigation analysis showed: the scientific exploration and cooperative study method can improve the interpersonal relationship of students as well as strengthen their team consciousness and enhance the studying interest of them. It fits the requirements of students at all levels and can effectively improve the scores of students with medium or lower achievement.We found in the practical research there remain great difficulties in scientific exploration and comparative study method, such as the request to the teacher is very high, teachers should pay more time and energy, traditional evaluation is not suitable to evaluate the results of practice, scientific exploration and cooperative study method is selective and can't be applied to any course, traditional big classroom teaching doesn't fit the requirements of scientific exploration and cooperative study method in a long term and so on...
