The Analysis On The Education For Migrant Population's Children At The Verge Of Urban

The transient population's children refer mainly to the 6 to 15-year-old ones with learning ability, who come to live in urban areas for over half a year with their parents or their other guardians from rural areas. Due to their being disadvantaged groups, they can generally not get the effective guarantee of compulsory education in their transient living areas. More than the problem of equitable education, it is also the problem certainly occurring during citifying our society. So this must be taken seriously. Central government should, in the light of our country educational policy, give full play to the function of macro-control education, reform registered permanent residence to surmount the dual social structure in our country. Laws and appropriate policies require enacting to ensure these children to receive the basical compulsory education. The local government's responsibility of supervision to offer schooling to the floating population's children must be strengthened. The administration of the schools run by the local people must be standardized and nongovernmental elementary education organ must be founded to send wide relief to the floating population's children. On the other hand, education departments, in the light of educational practice, which are directly in charge of the floating population's children's education, must bring their functions into play that carries on concrete education tasks. Educational thoughts about regarding human as foundation must be accepted to improve efficiency in school management and to focus on the central task of students. We should proceed with confidence in these children to give scope to the students' initiative and creativeness. Multi-disciplinary teaching materials must be offered to them according to their characteristics.
