Teachers'lifelong education of primary and middle school in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has made great progress and important contribution to our region's education since the execution of reform and openning policy. The newer and higher request has been raised upon quality oriented education of primary and middle school teachers with the complete promotion of quality oriented education and courses reform on basic education. High level teachers are the key elements to excellent education resources and development of education. However, there is great distance existed in primary and middle school teachers and their lifelong education according to the requirement of current situation.I use statistics, analysis and summing up, case study as research methods. Firstly ,I review the source of teachers'lifelong education in primary and middle school from international and domestic backgrounds. Secondly, I analyze the current situation of teachers'lifelong education. Pointing out that element outcomes have been acquired in aspects of laws and regulations layout, training types, institutions construction, courses and textbooks establishment. While the outstanding problems such as inadequate investment, bad training quality, deficient appraising mechanism etc. still exist. Ultimately, I propose some suggestions on how to raise the actual effects of teachers'lifelong education after analyzing the theoretical reasons of above—mentioned problems. These suggestions involve the followings: to establish effective funds raising and undertaking mechanism, to increase the types of teachers'lifelong training, to adjust structure of training courses, toimprove teaching methods and to enhance supervision and appraisement on teachers training.I am devoting myself in this thesis to our region's teachers'lifelong education in primary and middle school in order to provide some suggestions with practical values and so to promote it to develop healthily.
