Contents: In information age, teacher's professional development faces new challenges and opportunities. Combining theory with practice, this dissertation researches into the ICT-supported professional development of teacher, clarifies the relationships between IT and teacher's professional competence, and analyses the approaches to ICT-supported teacher's professional development. Based on the analyses of the data from "DongHu Instruction & Research Online" as a case study, this paper put forward strategies to improve the performance for it, analyses from the perspective of Knowledge Management (KM) the mechanism of improving teachers' professional development by web, and advances effective principals for ICT-supported professional development of teacher.In chapter one, the dissertation analyses the theory foundation and the significance of teacher's professional development via the background of information age.In chapter two, the dissertation clarifies the relationships between ICT and teacher's professional competence, analyses the ICT element in teachers' capability composition, put forward the model of teacher's ICT-supported instructional competence, and analyses the types of ICT tools from the perspective of tool.In chapter three, the dissertation makes systematic research into the approaches to ICT-supported of teacher's professional development, includes: learning based virtual community, evaluation based e-portfolio, reflection based Blog, etc.In chapter four, based on the research findings arrived, the dissertation performs a case study on "DongHu Instruction& Research Online", analyzes the content and investigates the relational data of users, then put forward the improvement strategies for "DongHu Instruction & Research Online". Also, from the perspective of KM theory, the paper analyses the operational way to achieve teachers' knowledge transformation by utilizing web, summarizes the effective principles of professional development.
