Content: We've now entered the information era. The development of information technology, which is based upon computer technology, has significantly influenced our way of life, learning and work. The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China has decided that the information technology education should be promoted at three levels among middle schools and primary schools throughout the country, and the integration of information technology with other courses should be enhanced, which will greatly influence the implementation of quality education, cultivation of creative and innovative personnel, and the current situation of teaching science in primary schools.The brand-new primary school science course, which is constructed according to the new curriculum standard, will have a subversive influence on the perspective of teaching, students, and teachers' role and on the changing of teaching activities, ways of assessment. Therefore, it is necessary that information technology should be integrated with primary school science course as an assistant aid and means as naturally as chalk, blackboards, paper and pens do. This is the core of curriculum integration. Curriculum integration is a new viewpoint of ways of teaching which has been emphasized in the reform of elementary education for the new century in our country. The research and implementation of this new way of teaching provides a good basis for primary school student's inquiry into science, elaboration of creativity and promotion of comprehensive abilities. In addition, the new way of teaching makes the teachings of primary school science course develop in the direction of autonomy and personalization. So in view of the above-mentioned facts, this thesis this trying to do an exploratory research into the integration information technology with primary school courses. In general, this thesis is mainly divided into three parts. Part one deals with the background and significance of the research. It gives a brief account of the research backgrounds and conclusions which have been gained by other researchers. In part Two, the writer makes a systematic study of basic theories of curriculum integration and connotations of some related concepts. Part three is the most important part of this thesis, in which the writer makes a detailed study of the integration of information technology with primary school science course. Based on some existing researches and conclusions, the writer presents some tentative connotations, procedures and methods of the integration of information technology with primary school science course and also suggests some useful and helpful teaching models of primary school science course, the writer also mentions some unresolved problems and limitations of the research in this thesis.
