Chinese teaching and learning in junior middleschool fall into a vicious circle of low efficiency and high consumption. I think we can start with cultivating students' Chinese conciousness to improve efficiency in learning Chinese.chinese conciousness means that students can develop a good habit of learning ,concern Chinese phenomenon and develop Chinese ability automatically by the guidance of teachers.in junior middleschool, it is of great realistic significance,according to the level of students'cognition and psychology feature.The sense of developing students'chinese conciousness is that it can make students form good habits of Chinese learning ;change their passive learning into active learning ;and widen their ways on learning Chinese,just like drawing from headwater.There are two ways in how to improve students' Chinese conciousness. one is the life in school and the other is social life. Teachers should set a good example, lead and urge it to function well.
