Today, the modern information technologies, which were mainly represented by multimedia and network techniques, have sprung up rapidly and got widespread developments. Under this background, the basic education in our country is facing new chances and challenges. In this paper, combining application of the network and information technology used in the teaching work, the reform for inquiry-learning teaching mode on high school physics course is discussed and put into experiment. In the first department, the conventional reforms on physics teaching mode is analyzed and their defects is pointed out, and then the necessary of the reform for inquiry -learning physics teaching mode based on the network is put forward. By the theory of construction ism, inquiry-learning physics teaching mode based on the network get its theoretical support. Secondly, the theories and practices of inquiry-learning teaching mode under network environment are emphasized. Here, problems such as how to put the mode into practice, how to design the network environment, and how to give evaluations for this mode, are considered. Thirdly, the principle of teaching design for the inquiry learning under network environment is presented and examples of inquiry-learning physics teaching mode based on network are given. Fourthly, an evaluation of the experiments in inquiry-learning physics teaching mode under network is given. The result of experiments indicates that the inquiry learning under network environment is helpful for the students to improve the ability of learning by themselves, cooperation and communication with each other, and achieve training at information inquiry, information process and scientific habit. Finally, on a conclusion, the advantages and the current difficulties of inquiry learning physics teaching mode based on the network are pointed out, and the solution is also discussed.
