With the fast arrival of knowledge-economic-time and complex change of labor-market demand, the government enlarged the support to vocational education ,and the rural-junior-school in west China faces the special social environment and the time challenge, this cause the needs on career development of the students in these junior schools to undergo the stern test。As the central reflection of education idea, the curriculum is the implement blueprint of realizing the education goal and main basis of organizing the teaching activity, so, the curriculum reform and construct is turning into the core and the key of educational reform at the present. The curriculum design bases on the human's needs and development; school-based curriculum design of rural-junior-school in west China should meet the career development of the students of rural-junior-school in west China.The curriculum insists of curriculum-goal, curriculum-content, curriculum-implement and curriculum-appraises, the curriculum-content is the essential medium of merging the other three curriculum factors, it is the curriculum core. The curriculum-content design is a system dynamic process, it includes the needs appraise, the curriculum-content selection, organization and presentation. On the one hand each link operates independently; on the other hand they depend on each other.Taking San Kou junior school as a case, with main methods of questionnaire survey, interview, adopting the theories of sociology, pedagogy, psychology, cultural logy, this study first dwells on the educational situation and problems in the rural area of west China, then explanations the process of design on school-based career education & curriculum content in rural junior school and puts up with a experimental plan on this design.This study takes individual on-the-spot investigation as a basic point, adopts the theory of career education and school-based curriculum design as support point. By the questionnaire survey, interview and scene inspection, the study analyzes the career developmental needs of the students in San Kou junior school deeply, these needs involve the receiving the education of the high school, career instruction and grasping the certain survival skill. The research formulates the frame of the design on school-based career education & curriculum content of San Kou junior school, this frame includes 3 subjects -- Career Instruction, Modernized Agriculture,Household and Leisure. Career Instruction includes obtaining the successful skill in the junior school, career exploration, obtaining the successful skill after the junior school. Modernized Agriculture contains agricultural foundation and facility agriculture, agricultural planting, cultivation and management, new socialism rural. Household and Leisure includes diet and health, the using and repairing of electrical appliances, the gardening and sewing.Basing on the analysis on organization-form of discipline curriculum and professional curriculum content organization theory-collective module, the research organizes the school-based career education & curriculum content of San Kou junior-school, and makes the content contain 3 subjects, 9 big modules, 35 little modules;And it will be implemented by the form"compulsory course"+"elective course". Finally the suggestion and specific request are proposed that the school-based career education & curriculum content must be presented by the textbook, the audio and video teaching material, the teaching accessory material as well as the practice base.
