With the development of social economy, the introspection to the demand of talents and the exam-oriented education of society, it has become a great demand to all the social trades and professions that a talent should possess the specialized knowledge, the innovative thinking and the healthy psychological quality. The life sciences, the lead of the science in 21st century, should take on this responsibility. As a means of reforming biological teaching, the application of teaching the history of biological science in biology course teaching in high school is being paid more and more attention by teachers of biology. In the purpose of accelerating this practice, this paper expounds the theory basis of teaching the history of biological science in the biology teaching in high school. Meanwhile the author points out the existing problems on this matter by the investigation in the high school biology teachers and students related to biology history. Aimed at these problems, the author investigated how to carry on the biological knowledge teaching using the biology history, raise the innovation thought, establish the emotion manner values, and gave some concrete cases.Although there are many problems in teaching practice, in view of helping student life-long education, the teaching history of biological science in high school must be enhanced and strengthened.
