In recent years, heart volume indices and vo2max of world excellent swimming athletes have not increased substantially. But their athletic performance has escalated continually yet, which tells us that it is more important that advancement of skeletal muscle's metabolic ability compares to cardiovascular system's function.From the angle of sports training, the concept of traditional competitive swimming discipline puts the emphasis on the advancement of cardiovascular system's function and takes"speed endurance"as supported platform for physical performance; whereas the concept of modern competitive swimming discipline puts the emphasis on skeletal muscle proof receptor inside lactic acid environment , be able to spread retractile ability's discipline and takes"strength stamina"as supported platform for physical performance."swimming flume"has lots of training advantage including providing flow rate which exceeds athletes'limited swimming velocity, higher intensity and deepening effective stimulus. In order to demonstrate effectiveness of"swimming flume", the author picks some excellent swimming athletes as experimental objects and chooses blood lactic acid, pulse, row frequency etc. as test indices, and then proceeds transverse intensity check experiment and 2-month fore-and aft swing of legs training effect check experiment in the two different environment:"swimming flume"and swimming pool.Experiment results show:1. At whole stroke aspect, this two discipline tests have some difference. At the same velocity, row frequency of freestyle and butterfly swimming has no significant difference. Athletes'pulses in this two discipline means have not difference. Blood lactic acid in the swimming flume is lower than in the swimming pool and the difference is significant. At the same velocity, intensity in the swimming flume is lower than intensity in the swimming pool.2. At swing-leg aspect, this two different disciplines means have some difference. At the same velocity, the frequency of butterfly-swimming–leg has significantdifference, but free-style-leg has no significant difference. Technology of butterfly-stroke-leg has significant difference between swimming flume and swimming pool. Pulses in this two different test has no significant difference. Blood lactic acid has significant difference. The result is contrary to the result got from whole stroke which shows that the intensity in the swimming flume at the same velocity is higher than the intensity in the swimming pool.3. Adopting exceedingly limited velocity in the swimming flume, training intensity is high and can force the athletes to get higher pulses, frequency and blood lactic acid quickly. Proceeding most anaerobic metabolism ability discipline in the swimming flume has more efficient than in the swimming pool.4. After 2-month swing of leg training in the swimming flume, at the same velocity, athletes'frequency of swing of leg has the descending trend ,the reason may be athletes'ability of swing of leg has some advance. Scope of swing of leg and strength has advanced to some extent and athletes adapt to the training in the swimming flume. But there is no significant difference between them.6. By training in the swimming flume, athletes perceptions are: The feeling is not well in the swimming flume. When the velocity exceeds to a certain number, athletes'bodies will yawing to some extent and can not control their skilled movement freely. training intensity in the high-water-velocity of flow swimming flume is much higher than intensity in the swimming pool. Especially, stimulus to the muscles is deeper and athletes have feeling of sore. The reason is row frequency in unit time is higher compared to the row frequency in the swimming pool, and twice movement's connection is more compact, and skeletal muscles has no time to rest.7. By training in the swimming flume, athletes reflect there are some drawbacks of the performance index of swimming flume, such as water velocity is quicker at the waterway, water velocity is inequality, wave is bigger. And part region has vortices which disturb athletes'skilled movement.
