This paper take the function history as well as the content, the request, the textbook and the teaching research of the European and American function education as a reference system, discussed Chinese function education characteristic.First, the content, the request even the style of representation of function education in our curriculum standards and the textbook as a whole is stable and heavy formalization.In the function education, the teaching material and the teacher do not have the loyalty to the curriculum standards which the people imagine.In the quite long time the people only research how to solve mathematical problem and explain the curriculum standard or the textbook; The teaching practice enormous has enriched to the understanding of the function, On the other hand but, teacher's teaching lacks the theory to instruct, or said to the theory the understanding is incomplete. The technology has not obtained to value enough in the function education .Because closed learning, students very much are short from outside way of textbook and exercise collection gain related function knowledge, therefore students' prior knowledge to the function are deficient. So it's difficulty to find mathematical model from situations and represent with symbols or graph.This article thought these characteristics appeared an important reason lies in by the curriculum standards, the textbook, the college entrance examination, the teaching and the research constitution structure is since long ago stable and simply, thus is frail, this kind of simple frail structure has restricted innovation permeating.In the recent ten years, some innovation appeared in standards, textbook and teaching .But has the reason to worry, if the mechanism of NUEX not to comply with these innovation tendency, this kind of innovation is difficult to sustain.
