| The middle and primary school students living heavy academic burdens, according to excessive homework is a long time problem that existing in our country' elementary education. The advance of New-curriculum Reform gives us a whole new opportunity to settle this problem. Under this background, the study of the primary school pupils' homework seems to be especially necessary.This study takes the F primary school in Lanzhou City as an example. Under the guide of the New-curriculum's principle, basing on human beings' overall development theory, life-world theory, constructivism learning theory and multiple intelligence theory, focusing on the primary school pupils' real homework process, studying the problems such as arrangement for homework, instruction for homework, evaluation for homework and the time of homework. Showing the main people arranged homework, types and originals of homework, the process of doing homework, pupils' need, evaluation for homework, the time of homework, pupils' life and so on.On the foundation of practicing study, the author suggests we should reform the existed homework system. We should re-know the homework from those three aspects: difficulty, meaning and function. The author puts forward suggests to teachers as follows: raising classroom teaching's effect, using "little but right" as principle to homework arrangement, paying much attention to the steps of arrangement and evaluation for homework.
