The construction of teaching faculty of medical universities and colleges relates to the survival and development of universities and colleges. One of key symbols of scientific university management is the scientific teaching faculty management. Thus, the implementation of evaluation of teaching faculty is the most important content of management of medical universities and colleges teaching faculty .The foundation work of implementation of employment of teaching faculty and reform of promotion of teaching faculty lies in the evaluation system of university and college teaching faculty. The scientific, fair and reasonable teaching faculty evaluation system and evaluating teaching faculty by correct means have been the key links and the bottle neck of the reform of university and college personnel system.With the increasing development of modern university and their integrating to world, it is very necessary to follow the trend of national personnel system reform and strength the systematic research of evaluation system of university and college teaching faculty. Sticking to orientation of ability and achievement and establishing scientific and fair socialized teaching faculty evaluation system can promote the reform and renovation of medical university and college personnel management and accelerate the sustainable development of university and college. However, many problems exist in current evaluation system of university and college teaching faculty. Macro education system and conflicts of value orientation can not meet the requirement of ideas of all-round talents, which needs to be improved urgently. Though analyzing the university and college teaching faculty evaluation of developed countries in America and Europe, using them for references and combining with current situation of university and college teaching faculty and features teaching work, the paper explores the more effective and reasonable teaching faculty evaluation system. Thus, the basic countermeasure and idea of improved medical university and college teaching faculty evaluation system can be supplied.Finally, research content of medical university and college teaching faculty evaluation system is enriched and perfected by evidence based study of cases of professional post promotion of some teaching faculties in a certain South China university.
