We are now in the 21st century, an era of globalization, and many kinds of cultural forms coexist in the contemporary Chinese society, such as the traditional culture and the modern culture, the eastern culture and the western culture, the dominant culture and the elite culture, the popular culture and the folk culture and so on. It is a special cultural situation. The Chinese curriculum is faced with a complex multicultural environment. The development of the popular culture has bought a huge challenge to the Chinese curriculum .The research of this dissertation is just under the above conditions and the main points go as follows: Part one: Trace back to the intension of popular culture and curriculum resources. After analyzing their complicated connotation, we can find their relationship that popular culture is just a kind of curriculum resources itself.Part two: Analyze the new challenge that popular culture brings to the Chinese Curriculum. We begin with the debate that the popular culture brings to the Chinese education, and then we find that the relation between popular reading and classical reading becomes acute. We discuss the challenge in order to establish a basis for gentle scanning of queen.Part three: Review the debate about popular culture calmly. Analyzing the deep infection that popular culture brings to the middle school students'Chinese study meanwhile reveal its double faces that it has; Then carry on deep close examination to absent circumstances of popular culture in Chinese curriculum.Part four: Explore the development route of the curriculum resources of popular culture. Start with comprehending the lesson and marking the spiritual idea at first, then put emphasis on handling traditional thought and modern idea, popular culture, other culture, popular culture resources and Chinese teaching three pairs of relations well, then propose developing three routes of popular culture resources, summarize and develop the potential difficult problem that may meet in the curriculum finally.In general, this text tries to expound the relation between popular culture and Chinese curriculum in plural culture era, probe into the development route of resource of this curriculum of popular culture, thus open up the culture visual field of Chinese curriculum resources. We expect that our research can bring some inspiring suggestions under the circumstances of curriculum reforms in the new century.
