Based on educational popularization development in new situation, China's adult higher education must jointly take the duty that a large number of specialized talents with the ability of innovating knowledge and technology should be cultivated in modernization project with other educational forms. As a kind of teaching management system, Credit system, which are characterized by improving adult students personality development and bringing their activity and initiative to full play , fully shows the modern educational concept of"taking on students as main body,respecting individual differences and paying attention to personality development", so it is increasingly got the concern from educational field and is considered as one of the new educational management system of adult higher education meeting market needs. Credit system helps to further schooling system reform of adult higher education, helps to promote the communication and connection between school education and other educational forms such as social education and adult higher education, helps to establish life education system and form learning society. The introduction of the article points out era demand for the adult higher education carrying out credit system , and its meaning and studying object, combining with reality the adult higher education development and adult learning characteristics. Part one deals with that credit system in place of"School year system"is the necessary trend of adult higher education reform by analyzing its connotation and forming, development and historical background and combining with its characteristics. Part two introduces the existing situation that adult education has been carried out at home and abroad, provides us with available successful experience while referring to our country and school present situation, in order to work out reasonable credit system suitable for its characteristics. Part three concerns the necessity that our country adult higher education carries out credit system and existing major barriers such as lack of enough quantity and quality of selective courses, irregular management, insufficient educational teaching hardware resources. Part four offers theories supporting for adult higher education to carry out credit system in the spirit of"humanity-based, freely selecting course, separating teaching from test, easily applying and strictly graduating".The last part is the body of the article. The author gives a primary exploration to measurement for further improving teaching management model of credit system from such aspects as concept, cultivating planning, curriculum system, leaning methods, examination system and teaching management system. The article at first thinks about the present situation that adult higher education has carried out credit system, then gives a brief analysis of problems and disadvantages that its management model exists , typically states that credit system plays an important role in our teaching reform, at last on corresponding strategies, the article suggests that teaching reform should look on credit system as the breakthrough of improving all-round reform for teaching management system, builds up a package of more established credit teaching management system of Chinese characteristics to promote the development of adults'higher education career.
