The Research On The Usage Of Case Teaching In Political Lessons In High Schools

The Research on the usage of Case Teaching in Political Lessons in High Schools Nowdays, the quality education is advanced actively and the teaching mode of independence, cooperation and inquiry is proposed. In this situation, the case teaching has been a scientific and effective teaching method. So to speak, it has teaching value in changing the traditional teaching methods, carrying out the students'status of principle part, developing the students'verified abilities and improving the teaching effect. So the case teaching is used extensively in the political lessons in high schools nowdays. But in the actual political classes in which the practice of case teaching is used, there are some problems such as the separation of case and theory, teachers'wrong roles, little actual effect of discussion and illogical problems. In order to improve the case teaching in political lessons in high schools, it is necessary to analyze the problems appearing during the process of using case teaching and bring forward the corresponding countermeasures. So I think it is valuable and meaningful in both theory and practice to study the problems in the case teaching in political lessons in the high schools.Firstly, the research defines some concepts which are correlative to the case teaching――What is the case? What is the case teaching? And the differences between the case teaching and instance teaching And the research searches after the theory foundation of case teaching. And the research searches after the theory foundation of case teaching. A lot of theories surport the case teaching in theory. They are the Marxist philosophy, the theory of constructivist, the theory of teaching communication and the theory of information processing.Under the premise of defining the related concepts of the case teaching, the research examines the case teaching from the perspective of the new reform of curriculums and analyzes the inevitability of using the case teaching in political lessons in high schools. The research mainly studies the teaching practices of case teaching in political lessons in high schools. Most political teachers are attempting to use the case teaching and have obtained the anticipant effect. But there are some problems: the teachers'wrong roles in case teaching, the students'lack of response to the inspiration in discussion of case, the students'lack of cooperation in team work, attaching more importance to plan than the result in teaching process, the choice of case being divorced from the students'facts and the teaching aims. And the research analyzes and discusses some related problems,then seeks the relevant countermeasures --- changing the teachers'ideas, improving the teachers'qualities, mastering the right methods and reforming the evaluation system. At last,the research puts forward some problems which needs to study furtherly and look into the future of the case teaching in political lessons in high schools.The research uses comprehensively the method of literature analysis , method of activity study, method of case study, method of interview. Combining the characteristics of the political lessons and my teaching experiences, I study the problems and countermeasures of case teaching in political lessons from theory and practice on the basis of participating in the second Gardener Project in Guangxi and the teaching contest of political lessons in high schools in Guilin.Although there have been a lot of research results of case teaching in political lessons, this research has the different research angle from the former researches. This research mainly studies the problems in case teaching in political lessons, collects the latest materials and examines the problems with the ideas of the new reform of curriculum, then puts forward the feasible measures.
