Autonomous learning has been of great significance to social development, educational transformation and individual growth as well. Autonomous learning of the undergraduates has great impact both on their individual growth in universities and on their continuous development after graduation. However, the previous researches focused mainly on those in middle school and elementary school, and the related researches on university students were very rare. And even these small amounts have almost been done from the perspectives of class teaching and relationship between students and teachers, and studies from the perspective of teaching administration strategy are rather insufficient.This paper studied the relationship between teaching administration and autonomous learning of university students, and it discussed the teaching administration factors which would affect autonomous learning of the university students, and then it put forward certain teaching administration strategies to promote autonomous learning.The paper consists of four parts. The first part introduced the research background. Then, it reviewed the history and realities of study of autonomous learning at home and abroad. As the objective foundation of this study, the research of realities and deficiency of autonomous learning of university students currently in our country was analyzed particularly.The second part defined the concept of autonomous learning in this paper by means of comparison. The fact that autonomous learning will be the inevitable innovation tendency of study-style was clarified through study of its value. This part also analyzed the factors that affected autonomous learning.The third part pointed out that teaching administration has both indirect and direct effect on autonomous learning of university students through the introduction of the basic task, content and function of teaching administration in universities. Thereafter, the relationship of teaching administration and autonomous learning of university students was analyzed in detail.Base on the former study, the forth part put forward some administration strategies to promote the autonomous learning of university students.
