With the means of consulting documents, investigation, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, this paper researches on PE teachers' adaptation to the new course within the range of city high schools in Fujian Province. The research explores the existing problems, influencing factors and count measures during the process of adapting period.The result shows: the age structure and professional title structure of the present PE teachers of the city high schools are comparatively rational. But the professional structure is not rational enough, and the level of overall scientific research is on the low side. The professional ethics of PE teachers are relatively noble, and they could adapt the idea of new course well. However, their adaptation on the teaching behavior is obviously backward, and their own making of adapting the new course is commonly. The harvest of PE teachers participated in new course reform is mainly in the change of educational idea. Now they are facing another new reform of the new course with better psychology. Although they still have certain working pressure, they are eager to participate in the training of new course reform.After Pareto Analysis, we got the factors which restrict PE teachers of city high schools of Fujian Province to adapt the new course: one's own making, sports fields and sports facilities, the extent of leader's recognition, one's own adaptive ability, communication opportunities, funds problems, teachers' sense of responsibility, working enthusiasm, teachers, stimulate mechanism, and scientific research level. We got the corresponding counter measurements at the same time: offering the opportunities for PE teachers' continuing education, encouraging them to join the training of the special course, striving for leaders' recognition, establishing effective stimulating mechanism, strengthening communication, increasing the fund input of sports facilities, improving PE teachers' own adaptation ability, and strengthening self-learning.
