A Study On Mental Health Of Senior Middle School Students

In recent years, more and more people, from a variety of fields, are concerned about the mental health of senior school students and many educators are devoted to studying it, which is very important to Chinese education.This thesis discusses the standard of mental health of senior middle school students and gives some tips on getting across the standard. To learn about the mental health of senior middle school students, three researches have been done in Chongyang No. 1 Middle School, Hubei Province. The psychological test of MSSMHS (by Wang Jisheng) shows the mental health level of the students, the self-made questionnaire survey is helpful for us to get to know what cause the problems and the statistics of the psychological counseling data gives us more information. Directed by the author's long-term working experience ,using the results of the psychological test, the self-made questionnaire survey and the statistics of the psychological counseling data, the writer finds out four main factors that influence the senior middle students' mental health—the students' own factor, the family factor, the school factor and the social factor. Finally, the thesis comes up with some countermeasures: to set up a separate organization for mental health education because mental health education is so important; to try to improve the teachers' educational ability, making the mental health education specialized; to organize a variety of educational activities, taking into account the different problems; to combine the mental health education with subject teaching; to make most of the families; to improve the social environment, valuing the support from the society.The advantage of this thesis is that it presents species, operative and effective countermeasures by analyzing the results of three researches carefully.
