| Cultivating innovative talented people has become a common value pursuit in institutions of higher learning around the world. It is both a theoretical problem and a major practical problem. In our country, institutions of higher learning are the main arenas for cultivating talented people. However, for a very long time innovative talented people and the ability to innovate has never been placed in the central place. Recent years saw the rising of the cultivation of innovative talented people in institutions of higher learning. Local institutions of higher learning have been actively exploring in this field. Experiences have been accumulated, but no great breakthrough and efficient ways have been found up till now. Therefore, the significance of inquiring into the problems in the cultivation of innovative talented people in institutions of higher learning and proposing relevant suggestions is self-evident.Basing on literature researches and comparative studies, this thesis investigates the characteristics of innovative talented people, analyzes the factors that limit the cultivation of creative talented people in institutions of higher learning and problems that existing in this field, and finally proposes relevant suggestions.This thesis is composed of four chapters. Chapter one starts with the introduction which dealing with the basic ground, significance, current research level and research thinking of this thesis topic as well as definition of the relevant concepts. Chapter two mainly gives an analysis of the quality characteristics of innovative talented people, and a further discussion of the significance of cultivating innovative talented people. Chapter three mainly analyzes problems institutions of higher learning in our country encountered in cultivating innovative talented people. Basing on the analysis of these problems Chapter four proposes relevant suggestions to speed up the cultivation of innovative talented people.
