Investigation Of Present Situation Of Extracurricular Reading Concerning The Senior High School Students In Changchun

Extracurricular reading is an important part in students'study and life. Proper extracurricular reading could help students form good morality and nurture temperament. It could make the students understand and enjoy our Chinese language and characters and increase their ability of sensibility. It could also help students to form the good habit of information sensitivity and learning autonomy, as well as develop their creativity. In a word, extracurricular reading is helpful to students'cultural levels, so as to promote their healthy and complete development.This study aims at the Investigation of present situation of extracurricular reading concerning the senior high school students in Changchun. Five aspects relative with extracurricular reading of senior high school students in Changchun are focused, through questionnaire and interview: first, attitude towards extracurricular reading by senior high school students in Changchun; second, interest of extracurricular reading by senior high school students in Changchun; third, motivation of extracurricular reading by senior high school students in Changchun; fourth, condition of extracurricular reading that the senior high school students in Changchun have; fifth, habit of extracurricular reading that senior high school students in Changchun have formed. Relevant conclusions will be draw based on the result of investigation and analysis on it. Furthermore, deep analysis on the reason for the existing problems concerning extracurricular reading by senior high school students in Changchun will be made, combing with relevant theory about social culture, family education, school education, and psychological character of senior high students. Finally, relevant suggestions will be made to promote healthy development of extracurricular reading by senior high school students in Changchun based on the actual situation. The author expect this study could be helpful to effective instruction of extracurricular reading by each level of educational departments, present Chinese teachers, as well as students'parents.
