With the development of the society, any kind of ways of thinking could be exposed to replacement. The present industrial objectivism-based way of thinking has been showing its shortcomings, and has failed to meet the demands of the development of society and individuals, and thus is facing great the challenge of rethinking and reconstruction. As American scholar Rowland pointed out, instructional design--a type of design, is not an isolated phenomenon but contain the general characteristics of all types of design. By its sharp criticisms on the shortcomings of modernism design--deviating from the nature of life, and advocating the ideology of humanism, spiritualism, and returning to the nature of life, "Anti-design" movement is a glorious challenge of postmodernism design to modernism design. Therefore, instructional design has reason to assimilate the "anti-design" way, making itself a special way of thinking with its own characteristics.Based on the understanding of basic concepts like "design", "anti-design", "instructional design", and "way of thinking" and the assumption that instead of the traditional way of teaching design which has deviated from the nature of human life and has the tendency of dehumanization caused by its over-standardization and mechanization, "anti-design" will become one brand-new way of thinking in the area of instructional design, this essay will explain the present situation and causes of the changing of instructional design and further illustrate the characteristic of "anti-design" based way of instructional design--return to the nature of life. Besides, corresponding instructional design models will be presented and analyzed here too.
