Biology which relates with survival and death of human being focuses on the study of biological phenomena and activities. Previous teaching on biology paid more attention to impart the knowledge but ignored the need of human being. This results in the serious inconsistency between the education in school and the practical demand of the society. Fortunately, this dilemma will be alleviated greatly because the new course reforms on basic education are putting into practice in our country. Facing the reforms, each teaching staff must have the self-examination by themselves and actively devote them to the reforms. The new reform on course education will have an immense impact on all kinds of the teaching theories, such as, teaching ideas, teaching methods, teaching models and the study model of students. In this way, many people prefer to criticize the disadvantages of the traditional education or the national college entrance examination while they are talking about the reform of the course education. And they disagree that the traditional education has a few advantages. However, objectively speaking, one coin has two sides, traditional education brings disadvantages and advantages, and we cannot discard it because of its disadvantages. The National college entrance examination is relatively fair for the universities to select the elites. Moreover, most parents would 1ike to know whether their children can get the offer from the key universities or not, they don't care which abilities their children have. In this situation, we must not blame the parents for their wishes because they only like to purse the results in this process. On the contrary, we must have the self-examination by ourselves: how toof the traditional teaching, and try to get a trade-off between the traditional education and the novelty education. Then, it is right for us to get the win-win between achieving the teaching effects and cultivating the abilities that can be used by the students to improve their performance in study.
