The Empirical Research Of University-Industry Collaboration Patterns Of Chinese Research Universities

In Chinese academic field, the research about "industry, university and research institute" has a history of more than ten years, and the research about "research universities" has a history of about ten years. And the two fields have once appeared many important research results. However, in Chinese academic field, it hasn't yet appeared the related research that combines the two fields above closely until now. The article is a preliminary attempt that does it. In China, science and technology not only contributes less to economy development, is but also out of joint from economy development. And China is trying to construct its own high-level research universities and become an innovative country. In face of the fact above all, the article tries to do some research about Chinese research universities and especially do a systemic discussion about their university-industry collaboration patterns.The article firstly has carried on a discussion about related theories about university-industry collaborations of research universities. And the article has done an analysis about research universities' characteristic and their social service function in detail and analyzed the difference between research universities and ordinary colleges and universities in aspect of university-industry collaboration patterns. And the article has carried on a comparative analysis about university-industry collaboration patterns of research universities about foreign countries and China. And the article has elaborated university-industry collaboration pattern evolutions of research universities in America, England, Japan and China. And through the comparative analysis the article has drawn several related research conclusions. And the article has carried on the analysis and the assessment about university-industry collaboration patterns of Chinese research universities. In the part, the article has carried on a systemic classification about patterns from different angle based on previous research results. And the article has established a multi-dimensional classified system, that is, five dimensions of the close degree of collaboration, the collaboration object, the collaboration content, the member playing a leading role, the collaboration levels. Further more the article has applied the AHP method to establish an assessment weight system for university-industry collaboration patterns of Chinese research universities and has carried on the fuzzy comprehensive assessment to a typical case. And the assessment weight system and the assessment method have certain instruction significance to university-industry collaboration of Chinese research universities in practice. Finally, the article has carried on a thorough analysis about two kinds of typical university-industry collaboration patterns, that is, the university-industry cooperation committee pattern and the research and development organization built by university and industry pattern, in pattern topology, work principle, running mechanism, platform superiority, suitable condition aspects and so on. And all discussions above base on many typical cases. And the analysis may provide certain guides to actually apply the two kinds of university-industry collaboration patterns for Chinese research universities.
