Information technology education has gone though over 20 years. Now, under the background of the curriculum reformation, IT education has taken placed many changes on the goals, contents and system of information technology curriculum. As "Information Literacy" being proposed as the key training aim, IT education has been endowed with new meaning as well. Thus IT teachers should improve their professional development as well as their group quality to be qualified for the new teaching work.However, high school teachers have their own features in its developing process, such as relative low level of the group quality, relative greater individual differences, and so on. Therefore, the in-service training according to IT teachers' needs has become a major way to achieve this aim.This thesis, taking the IT teachers of Liaoning high schools as subjects, through questionnaires and interviews, made a research of the basic condition and present training of the teachers. On the basis of statistic study, the questions existed and their reasons of the in-service training for high school IT teachers were analyzed and countermeasures were suggested in order to provide some beneficial references for the future training in this field.The thesis includes five chapters: Chapter one, Introduction, introduces the research question through the analysis of its background and significances; Chapter two is a overlook of IT teachers roles and sets forth the new requirements of the curriculum reform for the high school IT teachers as well as one of the effective methods of improving their literacy potential advantages of in-service training; Chapter three makes an analysis of the present condition of high school IT teachers' in-service training on the basis of research, and tries to find out the problems existed and the reasons; Chapter four suggests the countermeasures based on the analysis; Chapter five, Conclusion.
