In the modern world, the rapid development of scientific technology highlights the increasing importance of education. Since the teachers at primary and middle schools shoulder the responsibility of fundamental education, their competence in teaching will exert a great influence in Children's life. Therefore, it is of great significance to carry out various training programs in education technology to improve primary and middle school teachers' competence in teaching so as to adapt to the current educational reform.Standards for Primary and Middle School Teachers' Competence in Education Technology issued by the Education Ministry takes effect in 2004. According to the standards, the problems in the traditional training of education technology are gradually revealed. Since then, improving the quality of training and coming up with strategies to solve these problems has become a trend in the research field.The thesis, based on the questionnaire about the current application of education technology at primary and middle schools in Xinjiang, the current training in education technology and the current situation of mandarin Chinese language training for minority teachers, makes a statistical analysis of application of education technology and major problems in the training program as well as causes behind these problems. Taking into consideration of provincial features, the author, according to the research findings and literature about the training of education technology in China and abroad, puts forward some solutions to these problems and proposes a series of scientific and easily-operated strategies for training of education technology.The thesis lays stress on the current application of education technology at primary and middle schools as well as the major problems in the training of teachers' competence in education technology. Then, the strategies for training content, training methods, self-study model and the variety of evaluation are suggested to solve these problems. In the last part of the thesis, a brief conclusion is drawn and an assumption about further study is given.
