This study attempts to explove the strategies for developing awareness of writing motive among secondary school students. The paper notes with concer the absence of motive in the writing practice of scendary school students, and studies what attributes to such lack of writing motive. With due reflection on the prevailing state of writing motive amang secondary school students ,the writer analyzes the relations amany Three major motives of writing,as well as the existing problems regarding writing motive.the then explores the ways to develop awareness and practice with regard to writing motive .Motive of writing in relation to scendary school students is a matter of mentality, which involves the absence of writing motive ,writing motive abstraction,and writing motive alienation The study of writing motive development should proceed from the actual conditions of the students ,looking into family ,school,society,and other environments related to the student's writing practice. The present study concentrates on the strateges for developing motive of writing ,seeking to change the unhealthy motive in the student's writing practice,and build up a reasonable, scientific system for writing motive evaluation .
