Doing some research on normal university students' occupational values in Sichuan can understand the occupational values of normal university students and the characteristics of occupational value tendercy, offer applied theoretical basis to theory of occupational values, which redound to providing theories and practical basis for the establishment of normal university students' occupational policies in our central or local government ,espencially in Sichuan province; and redound to develop pertinent education, offering effective macroscopical and microcosmical guidance to Sichuan normal university students' occupational choices and exerting ourself to settle furious value collision problems that the normal university students face Based on the six normal university students' occupational values offered by Yu Haibo, and through investigation and analysis of five Sichuan normal university students' occupational value questionnaires, the study retrospected the development of theories of occupational values and occupational behaviors, discussed characteristics of the normal university students' occupational values in Sichuan province, the relationship between occupational values and occupational behaviors and some strategies how to teach normal university students' occupational values.By means of the Normal University Students' Occupational Value Questionnaire designed by Yu Haibo the research method of the study is measurement, 1757 normal university students in Sichuan five universities are considered as the research objects. Furthermore, By the method of factor analysis, main element analysis and linear regression analysis, the study aimed at validating the six normal university students' occupational values offered by Yu Haibo, analyzing the structure of Sichuan Normal University students' occupational values and inspecting the six dimensions of Sichuan Normal University students' occupational values : "family" and" self-development" , gender and age , administrative level and major ect. The main results of this study were as follows:(1)The study validated the reasonability of the six normal university students' occupational values offered by Yu Haibo, and the Normal University Students' Occupational Values Questionnaire designed by Yu Haibo was scientific.(2)The order of six dimension given by Sichuan normal university students were: "self-development", "interpersonal relationship", "contribution", "material well being", "power", "family". The normal university students rated"interpersonal relationship" as the most important values.(3) The normal university students' occupational values were influenced by the family financial situation. If normal university students ' families were highly-paid, their demensions were of significant difference including the dimensions of "material well being", "power", "family", and higher than those who had other levels of income. The levels of academic qualification had not significant effect on their occupational values, "contribution" had the difference from major, gender and grade. Students in art department and RE department rated the dimension of "contribution" higher than humanities and science departments.; the female students rate "contribution" higher than the male students; both the fresh men and graduates highly rated "contribution",and students in other grades rated lower. Grade two was the key period in the development of normal university students' occupational values. The interaction of major and grade would significantly imfluence the dimensions of "interpersonal relationship", "contribution" and "self-development"; The interaction of major and gender would greatly affected "self-development","material well being", "family".(4)The five Sichuan normal university students' occupational values were statistically significant. The Nei Jinag Normal College rated slightly than other colleges in all the dimensions except "family", Sichuan Normal University rated slightly lower in all the dimensions except "power", and the Leshan Normal College, Mianyang Normal College and Xihua Normal University were lower. Totally the normal university students' occupational values were positive, aspirant, but there was a trend of laying particular stress on "self-developnmnt". And there was a mixed characteristic of stability and fluctuation in the development of the occupational values of normal university students.
